OT Group has secured an ISO 45001 accreditation in recognition of its occupational health and safety management systems, alongside a renewal of an information security management certification, with a new ISO27001:2013 accreditation.
The UK-headquartered business, which is owned by Grenadier Holdings (formally known as Paragon Group), was recognised by Global Accredited Certification Body NQA, and the certification applies to the Office Depot and Spicers brands’ head office.
The group’s ISO 27001:2013 renewal shows a dedication to ongoing information security, including maintaining and improving an information security management system (ISMS).
The company’s new accreditation, ISO 45001, shows a commitment to health and safety performance. More specifically, the management of occupational health and safety risks, protecting employees and improving overall workplace safety.
Martin Weedall, Chief Operations Officer at OT Group, commented on the new certification: “We’re committed to a continued focus to build and grow on all fronts. Health and safety management, as part of wider operations, is a key area to focus on, so we’re proud to add ISO 45001 to our list of industry recognised certifications.
The new ISO 45001, as well as the renewal of our ISO 27001, joins our other ISO certifications, showing our commitment to operational excellence across the board, from environment and energy management to quality control.
These certifications demonstrate to our customers and partners that we are taking our commitments seriously, providing assurance when they’re considering the quality, breadth, and strength of our business practices.”
As part of all ISO accreditations, continual improvement will form a part of future operations at OT Group. Opportunities for improvement will be identified, enhancing the effectiveness of management systems over time.
